When I originated this site in
August, 2006, my intention was to create a website home for a few Music
and Concert stories which I had begun to write back in 2004, and had
"parked" them on a client's web site. The two years since
have resulted in expanding my visions for the site. First it was
to include numerous "LA Stories" as well. When I became
interested in Genealogy, and then, my family's history, I became
obsessed, and the site's content really began to grow. Response
to these pages mandated construction of an independent site for
my cousin,
Clinton Eastwood Jr.
The last two years have included 3 major webhosting snafus,
and tragically,
a
total loss of all my files when my hard drive totally
crashed. I've been able to recover the majority of the old
music pages in various forms of development. No doubt
revision is needed for many, especially their hyperlinks,
but ignore such shortcomings and give them a look.
One day in '04, I was reminiscing on the "Good Old Days",
specifically on the day I experienced
"CREAM",
live in concert
at my college's tiny gym (Calif. State University, Northridge).
Recalling this monumental moment in the History of Rock & Roll
is often met with skeptical responses from hardcore music fans. I
wondered if there was anyway to verify this relatively unknown
appearance and turned to the Internet. I joined a Yahoo "Cream" fan
site and inquired about such.
Sure enough, a member suggested an amazing fan
site for Cream bassist, Jack Bruce, which listed every single live
Cream performance, from early small clubs to historic concerts. I
was blown away by this discovery and soon found myself researching
several of the concerts that I felt were legendary. These included:
David Bowie's
"Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars",
Joe
Cocker w/
Mad Dogs & Englishmen,
Pink Floyd's "The Wall",
Genesis w/Peter Gabriel at the Roxy, and many more (ELP, Alice
Cooper, Floyd, Stones, Zeppelin, Jethro Tull, The Who,
Jeff Beck @
House of Blues-Sunset Strip,
and so many more) which I'm attempting
to narrow for a "Top 10" list.
