CLINT'S HOUSES

 - Clint at the time of the Stradella Dr. house
Clint bought a large two story house (fixer-upper) in Bel Air when things began to get serious with Sondra Locke in the 70's. The house had been unoccupied for quite awhile and needed a lot of work.

Sondra was in charge of renovating their home on Stradella Dr., located on the "rural fringes" of the famed Los Angeles neighborhood. Before hooking up with Clint, Locke had lived in an apartment with a design that she favored and re-designed and decorated the house in a similar style.      -  photo courtesy Sondra Locke

The Rising River Ranch
As far back as the 60's Clint had been wisely putting his money into Carmel Valley real estate. Although he has always kept such information secretive, when his business manager, Irving Leonard, died in Dec. 1969, his will notes that Clint owned over 500 acres of Carmel Valley woodlands, and another choice 185 acres south of Carmel. When Clint & Maggie decided to build their dream house, Maggie oversaw much of the construction.            - Clint 1967

AT THE RANCH

This picture of Carmel's former Mayor and "Gentleman Rancher" was taken around 1999, long after completion of his "The Forever House"  (nick-named such due to the length of time it took to construct).

Although the house can't be seen, this photo shows 'Our Hero' in a rare moment of relaxation, posing outside, awash in the sprawling acreage of his  Carmel Ranch Home.

"THE EARLY GIRLS"

The photo at the left is a promo shot from Clint's first American filmed western after the three "Spaghetti Westerns", - "Hang 'Em High" (1968).

Pictured with Clint is Roxanne Tunis, a struggling young actress/stuntwoman who had met Clint on the set of Rawhide years earlier.

The photo on the right is Kimber Tunis Eastwood (DOB: June 17, 1964}, the daughter of Clint & Roxanne. Despite Clint's marriage to Maggie, the relationship lasted for years.

Kimber played a small part (White House tour guide) in "Absolute Power" (1996), as did Clint's other daughter (with Maggie), Alison (DOB: May 22, 1972) (art student).
